Victory
Home’s resident-care program lasts 20 weeks. The student resides at
Victory Home; eating, sleeping, working, fellowshipping, and attending
classes on the campus. We believe that temporary separation from the
“outside world” helps students to redefine their priorities and focus on
their important issues. During
weekend visiting times,
students can receive visits from immediate family members. Pastors from
the student’s home church are encouraged to visit any day of the week.
The
main focus of the program is establishing a life-changing relationship
with Jesus Christ, who will deliver them from the bondage of drug and
alcohol addiction. Students participate in spiritual growth and
faith-building activities, including morning devotion, prayer, daily
chapel services, curriculum classes, service to others, Bible study, and
small group discussion.
Believing that responsibility and service to others are essential
character traits of godly men, all students are assigned on-campus jobs
and work projects that maintain the campus facilities and support the
ministries of Victory Home. Men work in the kitchen, in the Thrift
Store, on campus in the yards and gardens, housekeeping of the
buildings, and in the woodworking and automotive shops.
Physical fitness is encouraged at Victory Home. Students have access to
a weight room and exercise equipment. Hiking trails on campus provide
routes for hiking or jogging.
